About Me

"For me, nutrition goes far beyond mere eating."

My name is Stephanie Rosquin, born on 20th May 1981 in Luxembourg. For me, nutrition goes far beyond mere eating. I am passionate about accompanying people in their dietary changes and the personal development that follows.

Basically, I am a physical education teacher. After a few years in the profession, I had the desire to continue my education and to add studies in nutrition and to specialize in the nutrition of athletes. I have worked with many athletes, amongst others at the LIHPS and the Luxembourg Football Federation.

But my heart is mainly on the medical side of dietetics. I have been working in hospitals and at the Maison du diabète in Luxembourg City. Over the years, I have developed a particular interest in digestion, especially in the irritable bowel syndrome. I specialized in nutrition for people with allergies and intolerances as well as nutrition for people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.

Always looking for the most personalized and holistic support for the customer, I have studied micronutrition, personal coaching and sophrology.

I love giving workshops and offering training in the field of nutrition. I am fascinated by the enjoyment food can bring and I want to share knowledge about nutrition.

The customer is the greatest expert in his diet and it is important to me to accompany him.

Healthy, balanced diet

Healthy, balanced diet

Eating and drinking are primary needs, but also a great source of pleasure. Eating is a social act, and often we eat , not out of hunger, but because it is time to eat or out of boredom, out of duty. We have lost touch with food and possibly with ourselves.

Finding inner balance, feel-good weight, reconnecting to one’s own body and being able to distinguish between the feelings of hunger, saturation and pleasure can be a real revelation.

Nutrition is an important factor in maintaining health; this is demonstrated by numerous descriptive and intervention studies.

“Eating well and moving = protecting your health” from early age to adulthood and in key moments (pregnancy, breastfeeding) to menopause and old age.

Target groups: children, adolescents, adults, pregnant and nursing women, the elderly,...

Irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome

Living with an irritable bowel can be a nightmare. Often those affected no longer dare accept invitations or eat out for fear of digestive problems. Worldwide, 11% of the population suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, 1 in 7 adults. The quality of life of those affected suffers and often depression and loneliness accompany the disease. Symptoms include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Intestinal cramps
  • Nausea
  • Fullness
  • Bloating
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea/constipation alternating
  • Abnormal dispersing: 3x/day - 3x/week
  • Worsening symptoms in stressful situations
  • Fatigue, anxiety, depressive mood

Allergies and intolerances

Allergies and intolerances

Working closely with your doctor and yourself is important to ensure high-quality care.

I will accompany you in order to help you identify foods that contain the allergen better. It is important that the exclusion diet does not enhance any nutritional deficiencies. Therefore it is crucial to know the right substitute foods to fill the potential nutrient gap resulting from the omission of one or more food groups. Our main goals are: reading labels, identifying high-risk foods, cooking with alternatives, managing the risk of cross-contamination.

  • Gluten intolerance (coeliac disease)
  • Fructose intolerance
  • Lactose intolerance
  • Various food allergies

Vegetarian and vegan diet

Vegetarian and vegan diet

The Greek philosopher Pythagoras (6th century BC) said: “As long as people kill animals, they will kill each other. Those who sow death and pain cannot hope to reap love and joy.”

The number of vegetarians and vegans is constantly increasing. In order to supply the body with all nutrients, professional advice is important (especially at crucial moments of development).

Guaranteeing the supply of critical nutrients is my priority: essential amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, vitamin B9, calcium, iron, zinc, iodine.

The protection of our planet is the responsibility of all of us. Sustainability is also a subject which I care a lot about. a plant based diet is more sustainable.

Sports nutrition

Sports nutrition

Nutrition should always play an important role in the life of an athlete: during preparation, during competitions and after the competitions.

A personal diet plan tailored to the personal needs and the specific training units, and close monitoring are very important to combine pleasure and sports-appropriate diet, and to adapt to the changing demands of the training and the training goal.

Is the use of dietary supplements justified? When, how much, what?

Proper eating and drinking habits can influence the performance very positively, but there is no quick miracle solution. Depending on the sport you are practicing and depending on the moment in the sport’s season, specific energy and nutritional needs arise, which must be met at any time of preparation. The identification and correction of food “errors”, education about dietary supplements and “magic potions” on the market, balancing out the diet before, during and after the season, are just a few of the points that are discussed during dietary consultation with athletes of all levels.

Stress and Burnout

Stress and Burnout

Did you know that burnout and emotional burnout often go hand in hand with your eating habits? Bad eating habits and diet are indeed a major source of stress (for you, for your body, for your brain and cells) and a burnout factor.

Everything we eat is used to build the cells of our body: so we genuinely become what we eat.

In the case of stress and burnout, our body needs certain nutrients more than anything else. A good diet can help to effectively reduce stress.

In addition, if you suffer from burnout, you face constant fatigue, unstable blood sugar levels, desire for sweets, diffuse digestion problems,... A diet tailored to your expectations and needs therefore ensures that these needs are met, that the quality of your sleep will be better, that your psychological balance improves as well as your mood, general mental health and cognitive abilities.

I would like to accompany you when you tackle your eating disorders, quit smoking or suffer from burnout. However, this is always followed simultaneously by other health professionals and specialists.

Workshops, conferences, culinary workshops

Workshops, conferences, culinary workshops

In addition, you can book me for conferences, workshops and diet workshops at home or in your company. Food and drink go far beyond mere nourishment. What we eat has a direct impact on our neurological system and on our physical and mental performance. The foods we eat influence our mood, efficiency and mind.

Cooking creates bonds. Cooking is a way to show your love or affection for others. A good time at the table with healthy and tasty foods allows to maintain and re-establish relationships: with other people, with food, but also with ourselves.

As a group or as an individual: Choose the desired theme and we will prepare a menu together and have an unforgettable time.

Appointment and schedule of the appointments

Procedure of a nutrition consultation

The first appointment is intended to get to know each other in order to create a framework of trust. We talk about your goals, your dreams, your fears and we will analyze your eating habits and lifestyle. What is important to you? Which rituals are important to you and fill you with joy? What are your strengths, your weaknesses? What do you want to change? Together we will set goals and find tricks to achieve them.

The second appointment is dedicated to explaining personal dietary advice and the dietary plan. Together we will see how we can achieve the objectives set. We remain in close contact and this will help you in the implementation.

Every 4-6 weeks (as required) we meet for follow-up appointments. Together we clarify what was easy to achieve, what was more complicated and we will define the next steps.

Each appointment which is not cancelled at least 48 hours (working days) in advance will be charged.
